Dealing with Unmatched Pages in Document Imaging
There are times when users may receive "Unmatched Pages" when using the Document Imaging application which can be caused by a number of different things.
Scanner Settings
For the document scanner, we recommend that the scanner meets the following specifications:
- Scan Resolution: 300DPI
- Output File Type: JPEG or PDF
- Single Page Output
- WIA Driver
Barcode Printer Settings
For the barcode printers, we recommend the printers meet the specifications as required within the printer setup guide for the printer you use.
The barcode printer setup guides are attached to the bottom of this guide.
The Brother Printer is the official recommended printer for V6 Customers only. The Zebra and DYMO guides relate to all standard versions of the PSF software unless you are running Windows Server 2016 as the two printers are not compatible.
Scanning Profile
For the Document Imaging application, user(s) will need to have a scanning profile. This profile can be set up by following the steps below:
- Open the Scanning application and scan through a document
- Select Profiles > Edit Profiles
- Click on Add and name the profile (e.g. SCAN)
- Hover over the document with the cursor and that cursor should turn into a cross
- Once the cursor shows as a cross, click in the top left corner and drag the cursor down to the bottom right corner
-
A red dotted line should appear (as below)
-
When you select the Copy button, the Zone boxes will auto-populate, the area inside the red dotted line is the scanning area and the barcode label should be placed within this area. Once the save button is selected the profile will save.
-
If you have a document which still won't match, you can right-click on it in the left pane and select 'Override Barcode'. You can then type in the document type and number with no spaces (for example, LLPI4159). Then is run the scan again and save the attachment as usual.
