DfE Automated Returns 7.1.0. — For Financial Year 2024 to 2025

Version 7.1.0. for the DfE Automated Returns module contains the coding and grouping information required to submitted returns for the 2024/25 academic year.

If you using a version before 2290 of IRIS Financials, it must be updated before uploading data for the Automated Returns.

If you are submitting data after 26th January 2026, then version 2422 of IRIS Financials must be installed to use the DfE Automated Returns. Version 2422 is being rolled out to PS Cloud customers during January 2026. If you are not sure what version you are using, or need further help, contact our Support Team.

What's Uploaded for the 2024/25 Financial Year

  • Data from periods 01 to 97 for the 2024/25 financial year
  • Opening balances for specific nominals from period 00
  • Auditor adjustments posted into periods, such as 13, 14, and 97

Install DfE Automated Returns Version 7.1.0.

Use IRIS Autoupdater to install the DfE AR Upload 7.1.0 v1.0.2.abp package. Once installed, the package will: 

  • Create the following indexes and associate index values against the relevant nominals: 
    • AR202425 Accounts Return 2024/25.
    • ARB202425 Accounts Return Benchmarking 2024/25.
    • ARC202425 Accounts Return Counterparty 2024/25.
  • Create NOMPARENT and OBALNOM indices and automatically link it with all required nominals.
  • Set up a Company Number in Analysis Fieldson the Academy ledger to store the school company reference number.
