Importing Data to IRIS Financials

When all the data has been added to the required import template, it is imported using the Data Transformation Tool.

If you have not imported data before, you must import the required Data Transformation Tool file (.dtt) before importing the data. To get a copy of the required DTT file from our Support Team, log a support ticket (a Service Cloud account is required).

Do not open or modify DTT files. The file must be saved on the cloud server running IRIS Financials.

  1. Go to Modules, then select Data Transformation Tool.
  2. Select File, then Open, then choose the required DTT file.
  3. Next, select Browse..., then select the populated import template file.
  4. A preview of the data being imported is displayed. Select Next.
  5. On the Summary page, select Validate only, do not post any data, then select Post to check the import for any errors before posting to the database. If the data is all correct, select Close.

If data is incorrect, it must be corrected in the data file. When the data has been corrected, start the import process again.

  6. On the Summary page, clear selection of Validate only, do not post any data, then select Post.
