Configure Module Terms

Use the Configuration tab in the Curriculum Manager module to manage the terms for your school.

Terms must have a type and dates. Each term must also belong to a set.

For example, the 'Winter Term' is term type 'UK Term' and runs from 7 Sep 2020 to 10 Dec 2020. It is grouped in term set 'UK School Year (3 Terms)' along with 'Lent Term' and 'Summer Term'.

Create your term structure by working through the following procedures:

1. Create term types and link each one to a programme.
2. Create term sets and link each one to a programme, curriculum and term type.
3. Create terms/term dates and link each one to a cycle, term set and term type. Parent/child term dates can also be created. This is useful if you need to have a slightly different start and end date for a different part of your school. For example, your nursery may have slightly shorter terms to the rest of the pre-prep.
