Adding and Managing Custom Fields

As an admin user, you can use Custom Fields in IRIS Central to synchronise data, such as student, staff, and contact records across multiple schools and iSAMS by IRIS.

This functionality will allow you to add new Custom Fields and push them to selected entities (schools) and also propagate Custom Fields that only exist for subsets of entities.

To access the feature:

  • Go to the Settings icon, then select MIS Management from the menu.

  • From there, you can make changes to any of the existing Custom List Management Groups or create new groups.

To sync Custom Fields across selected entities:

  • Select Fetch to find out what values are used across selected entities.

  • Select Push to sync values across entities and iSAMS by IRIS.
