FasTrak Client Setup

The FasTrak Client Setup application is used to link FasTrak Client to your IRIS FasTrak system. This application will open the first time you license FasTrak Client, and you can get back to it by selecting FasTrak Client Setup from the Start Menu.

2.1 – General

IRIS FasTrak Server Settings

Address and Port — Enter the IP address and port number of your FasTrak Server. You can find the port number in the FasTrak Server Setup application's Database tab.

Username / Password — Enter the username and password of a Machine login for FasTrak Client (default: machine/machine). Note that this is a separate login to the one used for users to log in to the FasTrak Client and Admin software.

If you want to use different Machine logins for different locations, you can create more logins in FasTrak Admin's Logins section (see FasTrak Admin's help section for further information).

Location — Enter a suitable location name for the installation of FasTrak Client – this makes it easier to keep a log of changes to your IRIS FasTrak system.

IRIS BioStore Server Settings

Address and Port — Enter the IP address and port number of your BioStore Secondary Server. You can find the port number in the Secondary Server Setup application’s Configuration tab. FasTrak Client Configuration Guide.

Ensure there is a login set up in ID Manager with the IDStation login role. If not, create one (see ID Manager's help section for help setting up logins). It is recommended to create a new login rather than use any gateway logins in use by other IRIS BioStore/IRIS FasTrak applications.

Username / Password — Enter the username and password of an IDStation login, as set up in ID Manager.

Display Options

Show transitions between pages — Disabled by default, this option will display a visual transition effect when navigating to different screens FasTrak Client.

Select OK to apply any changes, or Cancel to discard any changes and close the setup application.
