Changes to VAT for Hosted Customers

The Government has announced that VAT will be cut from 20% to 5% in the hospitality and leisure sector. This cut will be in effect from Wednesday 15th July to Tuesday 12th January 2021.

If you access IRIS FasTrak via one of the following websites: https://preorder.fastrak.co.uk , https://hosted.fastrak.co.uk , or https://portal.fastrak.co.uk then you may need to update the VAT setting before this coming Wednesday. Read below how to make this simple change in IRIS FasTrak. Please note- these changes should be made before Wednesday 15th July in order for the prices to correctly update. If you make the change on Wednesday 15th July or later, please contact our help desk in order to get the pricing updated on your system.

  1. If you use https://preorder.fastrak.co.uk or https://hosted.fastrak.co.uk -

    1. Log into IRIS FasTrak as an Admin or Catering Manager account.

    2. Navigate to Maintenance and select Financial Setup as the below image:

    3. Select the VAT line and update the value from 20.0 to 5. Click Save.

    4. The pricing will then automatically update on the products overnight ready for the new VAT rules on 15/07/2020.

  1. If you use https://portal.fastrak.co.uk

    1. A user with the PosAdmin permissions would need to log into the website.

    2. Navigate to Maintenance then Settings then Financial as below:

      Change the VAT setting from 20.0 to 5.0 and click Save.

    3. The pricing will then automatically update on the products overnight ready for the new VAT rules on 15/07/2020.
