IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts is a dedicated IRIS Elements for Taxfiler customers. It contains the same level of features and functionality that you enjoy in Taxfiler today. You may notice that IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts is no longer available for purchase or trial on our Marketplace. This is because you can only access this dedicated product via your invitation to sign up for IRIS Elements and migrate your data.

You'll find IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts is an easy switch. We've updated the interface, but we've retained the familiar left-to-right navigation for creating tax returns and accounts. You'll get all the benefits of a shared client record and you can add further products over time.

Yes. You can trial IRIS Elements for 30 days - this is the first part of the migration process. The trial will give you access to all the functionality with the exclusion of submitting accounts or returns.

You can choose to migrate your Taxfiler data during the trial period or if you want to, but we recommend migrating when you're ready to permanently switch to IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts.

To provide more flexibility, we've separated our tax and accounts offering into two separate products. IRIS Elements Tax and IRIS Elements Accounts Production. Both products have various levels of subscription. We also have a range of other products that you can subscribe to that will help with AML, proposals and company management. Once you've migrated, you can choose to switch to either of these products or continue to use IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts for the foreseeable future.

As a Taxfiler customer, you can upgrade to IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts at the same price and on the same package that you enjoy today, choosing between monthly and annual contracts.

The move to IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts is by invitation, and so that we can support you properly we're sending email invitations in batches to eligible customers. Initially, this will be to customers with one user who subscribe monthly. If you haven't received your email yet, don't worry - we will invite you as soon as we can.

Emails will be sent to the Taxfiler Primary User.

During the sign-up process for the IRIS Elements trial, you'll be asked to read and accept new terms and conditions. The only change to the notice period is for those paying their subscription annually; the notice period is 90 days.

We've created a simple migration process to move your data and filing history. We'll have a full migration guide in this Help Centre, together with a video to guide you step-by-step through process.

The data migration process copies all of your data, including:

• your practice details.

• all active clients. If you have inactive or archived clients you'd like to migrate, you'll need to restore these in Taxfiler first.

• all tax returns and accounts of all types, for all years.

• any VAT returns.

• Third party bookkeeping links are preserved.

From June 2022, we stopped selling the current version of Taxfiler to new customers.

We're focusing our attention on IRIS Elements and new technology to bring you a better experience. Taxfiler is no longer supported and access will be removed by July 2025.
