When you complete the Payroll details form as part of the Payroll setup job for a client, when you first add the payroll service, you will have the option to enter an HMRC employer reference.

If you then select Practice to advise, Client to look after AE or Client already enrolled as the Auto enrolment status , Senta will pick up the staging date automatically from The Pensions Regulator.

If the staging date cannot be found for the HMRC employer reference provided, an error message will be displayed in The Pensions Regulator status field.
