Link IRIS Elements Cashbook with your Dext account

Dext (formerly known as Receipt Bank) is a service that converts your receipts into data you can use.

Dext gathers your receipts and invoices, scans them and processes them and then pushes them into your IRIS Elements Cashbook account. Customers can submit their receipts to Dext by:

  • iPhone / Android
  • Email-in
  • Dropbox
  • Direct Upload
  • Free postal service (UK only)

Configure IRIS Elements Cashbook

To integrate Dext:

  1. Go to Apps then select API settings.

  2. Select Enable SOAP API. Make sure Restrict Access to specific IP addresses is not checked.

  3. Select to enable AutoAuth and copy the key, you'll need that for your Dext account later.

  4. Select Update.

Configure Dext

  1. Login to your Dext account.
  2. Go to Account Settings.
  3. From Integration with Other Software, select the change link.
  4. Select IRIS Elements Cashbook from the option, then Select.
  5. Follow the instructions on Step 2 and after you are finished, tick the box at the bottom and select Next.
  6. Enter your username and password, then Select Finish.
  7. Success, Your Dext account is now connected to IRIS Elements Cashbook!

The most efficient way to send information from Dext to IRIS Elements Cashbook is to use the same list of expense categories (also known as Nominal Codes) in Dext that you use in IRIS Elements Cashbook.
