How to set Exclusions within McAfee Anti-Virus

Introduction

McAfee offers an Enterprise version of its VirusScan software. The Enterprise version offers customisable exclusions within the On-Access Scanner. This document contains the information required to configure exclusions within McAfee Virusscan.

1. Right-click the VirusShield icon and select VirusScan Console.

2. Click Task and then click On-Access Scanner Properties.

3. Click All Processes and then click Exclusions.

4.  Click Add. Select By name/location and then click Browse.

5. Select the folder you want to exclude and click OK.

6. Select Also Exclude Subfolders and the click OK.

7. Click OK and restart the computer to confirm the changes.
