How to backup TP/CT Data

Introduction

This topic explains how to backup a PTP TP/CT database using the PTP Database backup process.

The default path is C:\PTP\PTPData\Platform\BACKUP\* (* denotes the day of the week folder) directory. This then allows the user to make a copy of the PTPData folder ensuring all the user defined data in PTP Platform is backed up.

1. Open the PTP Launcher and select either Tax Platform or CT Platform.

2. Click the Spanner icon.

3. Accept all the defaults and click Run Option.

4. Once completed successfully click OK.

• As per the information at the beginning of this topic the default path for the database backup is C:\PTP\PTPData\Platform\BACKUP. Follow the normal backup regime to back up the PTPData folder, ensuring a complete backup of all PTPdata.
