Client Fees Posting Conditions

View or edit a clients Fees posting details, documents to be produced, or payer status.

 

To access the Fees posting conditions:

  1. Enter the Fees Ledger.

  2. Click File.

  3. Click Clients.

  4. Highlight a client and click View.

  5. Click the WIP tab.

  6. Click Controls and select Fees.

The Fees Client Fees Posting Conditions screen displays.

 

The following options are available:

 

Client

Displayed are the identifier and description for the selected client. For example, A001 and Mr Armitage.

 

Fees Ledger Posting

Displayed are conditions for Fees  postings.

These include:

All types allowed

All fees postings can be made to this client.

 

  • This option is selected by default for new clients.

No new bills to be posted

Invoices cannot be posted but all other Fees postings can be made.

No postings allowed

Fees postings cannot be made to this client.

 

Documents

Displayed are Fees document settings for the client:

Send statements

Select 'send statements' to allow statements to be printed for the client.  Click here for statement reference.

 

  • This option is selected by default for new clients.

 

Send Payment reminders

Select 'send payment reminders' for payment reminders to be produced for a client. Click here for a payment reminder reference.

 

  • This option is selected by default for new clients.

 

Separate Reminder for each invoice

Select 'separate reminder for each invoice' to create a new payment reminder for each invoice that has not been paid.

 

Payment Status

Set the clients payment status for payment reminders from a 5 scale spectrum, ranging from good to bad. The payment status can be used to select the automated payment reminder narrative.

 

Select 'don' t allow system to reset' to retain these settings.

Bill Authorisors

This option can be used to decide on a client by client basis who can authorise a draft invoice.

Below are the available options:

Partner

As Fees Options Whether partners can authorise invoices for this client is determined by settings selected within the Fees Ledger options.

Can Authorise Selecting this option will enable partners to authorise draft invoices for this client.

 

  • Selecting this option may be useful if you have defaulted at system level  not to allow partners to authorise invoices, but would want to allow partners for this client.

 

Can't Authorise Selecting this option will not allow partners to authorise draft invoices for this client.

 

  • Selecting this optinon may be useful if you have defaulted at  system level to all partners to authorise invoices, but do not want partners to authorise invoices for this client.

Manager

As Fees Options Whether managers can authorise invoices for this client is determined by settings selected within the Fees Ledger options.

Can Authorise Selecting this option will enable managers to authorise draft invoices for this client.

 

  • Selecting this option may be useful if you have defaulted at system level not to allow managers to authorise invoices, but would want to allow partners for this client.

 

Can't Authorise Selecting this option will not allow mangers to authorise draft invoices for this client.

 

  • Selecting this option may be useful if you have defaulted at system level to all managers to authorise invoices, but do not want partners to authorise invoices for this client

 

 

Plus the staff identifer listed below

By typing the idenfiier of a staff member in the field supplied it will be possible for this staff member to authorise draft invoices for this client.
