A Time Period is a container into which all postings in the Time Ledger are made and stored. Listed on screen are all your time periods created so far. This details the period number, the period start date, period end date and the time period status
It is recommended that three Time Periods are kept open. This will involve Time Period Maintenance where periods can be closed and created.

To view a Time Period:
Enter the Time Ledger.
Click on Periods.
Click on Current Periods.
Highlight a period to view
Click on View.
The Time Ledger Periods screen will be displayed.
The following fields are shown:
Period
Displayed is the period number. For example 2002/12. Once a period has been created this number can not be amended.
From
Displayed is the start date of the period. For example, 1/11/01
The start date is determined when the period is first created. It cannot be deleted unless the latest period has a status of pending. Click here for further information on deleting periods, and here for period status.
To the right of this is the day of the week, and the date it relates to.
To
Displayed is the end date of the period. For example 31/11/01.
Used alongside the start date, the end date.

To the right of this is the day of the week, and the date it relates to.
Current Status
Displayed is the selected periods status. All periods are given a status of pending, current, in reconciliation and closed.

Created
This shows the information relating to when the period was created. A record is kept of the staff member who originally created it, with the date and time it was created.
Status Achieved
When a period status is changed, a record is kept of who changed the status and the time and date the status was changed.
A period status is changed by closing and creating a period. For further information on period status click here.
Figures
For information on postings relating to period, click Figures.
Missing
To view missing Timesheets within the period click Missing.

Advanced
To Delete your latest pending postings click Advanced (for this feature you must be logged in as MASTER).

To view another periods details click on Next or Previous, or Cancel to close.
