WIP Discounts can be used to reduce percentage WIP is charged against a client account, client job account and a job type. For example, if a staff members charge rate is £50 per hour and a discount of 10% is given to a client, then the client will be charge £45.
As displayed in the example above, the discount is offset against the rate per hour on the posting. This is typically the charge rate set against a staff member. For example, staff member Rachel Preston may have a charge rate of £50. If the practice discounts 50% the client will be charged £25 for an hours work.

There are three levels of discounts:
Discounts at client account level is used to discount staff posting to a specific client. For example, if a client is being charged less for early payments.

Discounts at client job account level allows for WIP to be reduced for a specific client job. For example, to discount job type accounts for client A001. Below are the options for discounts at job level.
This will decrease the WIP charge by
10% WIP posting for this client job.

Discounting a job type reduces all WIP postings being made against a job type for all clients. For example, job type audit can be discounted and postings will be reduced by this value.
