Data Centre

Introduction

Data Centre is separate part of the IRIS software suite. It provides the ability to record separate branches on the database and associate staff with specific branches. Each of these branches will have a separate agent address. This makes the reporting within time and fees far more specific and efficient.

Data Centre rules

The system chooses which branch a client is attached to according to the branch its partner and/or manager is located at. Click here to determine which option the system looks at first.

To create such a relationship:

If a branch has not been found Time & Fees reports will show blank spaces for the branch.

Start using data Centre

Once data centre has been installed the branch details will need to be entered:

  1. Create a branch

  2. Assign a branch to a staff member (this must be a partner or manager)

  3. Assign a Partner to a client, or assign a manager to a client.

General Reporting

All reports that work from staff, clients or jobs can be ordered or selected by branch. .

The report Order screen allows you to define the sorting of information that will be displayed on the report. Here you can subtotal branches, define page breaks for branches and client identifiers can be sorted by branch.

The Selection screen allows you to limit the report to clients that fulfil the branches required. (the selection criteria will differ between reports depending on the information the report relates to).

Time & Fees

Fees ledger documents, such as invoices and statements, can use branches to provide separate documents for different sites. If data centre is not installed then the practice details will return to the default Agent details.
