The tag selection screen will open at the same time as the Microsoft Word document template. It is used to choose which tags are available to merge with the letter template, and to save the template once it has been written
To access the tag selection screen:
Log into IRIS Fees as MASTER.
From the menu select Options.
From the sub-menu, select Documents.
The Fees documents options screen will be displayed.
Click Maintain Templates.
Highlight a template and click New Templates, or edit an existing template.
A tag is a piece of information that can be linked from the IRIS database which can be merged into the letter as text.
The tag selection screen will be displayed. The Tag Selection screen will open at the same time as the Word document template. At this point both screens can be used simultaneously to create and save the template.
The Tag Selection screen has two main functions:
To choose which tags are available to merge into the letter template.
To save the template once it has been written.
The tag selection screen is used to choose the tags that can be inserted into the Microsoft Word template. A list of folders will be shown on the left side of the screen, each containing subfolders and tags. Press the + symbol next to any folder to expand the list of tags and subfolders.
To select a tag for use in the letter:
On the left-hand side, select the box next to the tag name (The tag will then be displayed on the right-hand side of the screen).
When all the tags required for the letter have been selected click Refresh to make the tags available in the Word document. Click here for inserting tags into the document in Microsoft Word.
Click Save to save the changes.
Depending on which context type was selected on the New Template screen (or edit screen) will influence which tags are availalble.
