Tasks can build up very quickly, therefore the task maintenance screen, allows archiving and the deletion of old tasks. This is accessed from Practice Management | Task Maintenance, from System Maintenance):
There are two options:
Archive tasks completed more than |
This setting will mark completed tasks as archived if they have been completed for more than X days |
Delete tasks archived more than |
Similar to above this will delete all tasks that have been archived for more than X days. |
Clicking OK in either case will archive or delete the tasks as requested. Note, only MASTER can delete tasks in this way.
This screen will default to the options given in Practice Management | PM Options from the System Maintenance menu, but these can be changed by logging into the screen as MASTER.
Archiving tasks can only be done if the task is marked as completed and also that the task has been Viewed at least once by the assignee.
To Un-archive and restore a task log into Practice Management as either MASTER or a superuser. Then from the Staff Control Panel or Task Browser screens change the dot at the top-left area to archived. This will then give a list of all archived tasks. Deselect each task that is to be restored.
This puts the task back against the client/staff member but the task will still be marked as completed, such that if the system was archived again with the same settings it will archive that task again.
