For further information please see the Post Task Recurrence Tutorial or Post Task Recurrence Help screen. For details on posting new tasks please see the Post Task Help screen.
A feature of tasks is that a recurrence can be set against a task so that a new task will automatically be created. To do this either create a New task or View an existing one. In the top left hand corner click on Recurrence. A prompt will come up to amend the details of the recurrence.
The default is for every week but options of recurrence include any number of:
Days
Weeks
Months - Setting to month will also allow the recurrence to occur on the last day of the month
Years
For example, create a task and click recurrence. Set to every 2 Months. Once that first task has been completed then a new task will be created automatically with a Due Date 2 months later. Further more when that future task is completed the next one would be created and so on until the task recurrence is removed.
Next Recurrence - this specifies when the next recurrence will start.
Avoid Weekends - if the task recurrence is set such that it will fall on a weekend then if recurrence is set to Monthly it will default to the last Friday of the month. If set to any other then it will default to the closest day.
View the task and then click on Recurrence.
Then click on Remove Recurrence. It will prompt to confirm this removal - click OK.
This will remove the recurrence and close the screen.
It is not possible to have a recurrence on a task that is linked to a specific client job stage
