To access this screen, go to Launch | Data Mining in the Staff Control Panel. Then select Field and click on the magnifying glass.
To return back to the main Data Mining help screen click here.
Below is a description of how the Columns and Search criteria interact with the Fields. For a full list of the Fields available click here.
When clicking on Columns it will display options for every folder. Within each folder select the columns needed. The columns available range from details about the client itself, like the partner/manager responsible to specific information entered in Personal Tax and Accounts Production.
Once the Columns have been selected click on OK. This will go back to the Data Mining front screen with these additional columns. Click on Find Now re-fresh the search with the new columns included.
This is accessed when Fields are selected as part of the search criteria routine. At this point when the Field is selected the column is automatically inserted into the main Data Mining screen. Having selected a field, underneath this a condition must be entered and this is called the operator. The drop down arrow shows the possibilities.
For example if the field is sales which is numeric, therefore the options would be:
Is more than
Is less than
Is at most
Is at least
Equals
Not equal to
Is between
Exists
Does not exist
Depending on the field type will determine what the list of operators is. Also each field that is searched on will appear as a column automatically, though can be removed at a later point.
