To assign an attribute against a client there needs to be some attributes created. For details on creating attributes please see Attributes System Maintenance.
From a client browser View the client. On the Attributes tab the list of all available attribute categories is seen. Within these groups are the attributes that associated with the category. Click on the + sign next to appropriate category. From here select the ones that are appropriate and then click Save.
This will then allow reports to be run for clients with a certain attribute, or create client lists. They can also be used in AutoMail to select clients for a Mailshot. Attributes can also be used within Data Mining to refine the searches.
