New Client Attributes can only be created by user with the appropriate permissions in IRISPTP. In System Maintenance, from the Main Menu or off the Pm icon in the system tray, go to Practice | Client Attributes. This will open up the window headed Client Attribute Maintenance. All existing Attributes with the ID and description will be displayed under the appropriate attribute category on the right.
From the Client Attribute Maintenance screen click on the Add Category button. This will open a window headed Create New Attribute Category. The fields that need to be filled in are the Visible ID and also a brief description of the Client Attribute Category.
Clicking OK will insert the new attribute category to the category list.
From the Client Attribute Maintenance screen click on the add attribute option. This will open a window headed Create New Attribute. The fields that need to be filled in are the Visible ID and also a brief description of the Client Attribute.
Clicking OK will insert the new attribute to the Client Attribute Maintenance list.
From the Client Attribute Maintenance screen highlight the Attribute that is to be deleted by left clicking once. Now click Delete Attribute.
If an attribute is being used by a client then all instances of this will have to be removed. To identify which clients are linked to the attribute Data Mining can be used.
If an attribute category is created with incorrect details then the details can be changed. From the Client Attribute Maintenance screen highlight the Attribute Category and then left-click on the Change Category option. This will open a window headed Change Attribute Category, and will be the same screen as the Creating a New Attribute Category. All details can then be edited.

There is a Print function within attributes allows a hardcopy of attributes and attribute categories that have been set up.
