This is to say that you will be doing a particular service for your clients. This can range from the Personal Tax Return or Accounts, based on the standard system jobs, or they can be self-created jobs like PAYE.

The service will control details of the last job created and any further details specific to that client. It will also show the next job period end that it will create on the current settings.

You can have as many services for a client as you do jobs. There will be some restrictions based on the type of client for example a business would not the Personal Tax service registered but a person would.

Creating the service on a client can be done in several ways.

After the client has been created you will be able to access the Services tab and enter the services that you will be doing.

This is the best time to set up the services. Once you have decided what you will be doing for your new client.

If an existing client has asked for you to do a further service then this can be created by viewing the client through PM and going to the Services tab. You can then click on New and enter the appropriate details for the service.

Once a service is in place you can use the job planning to see the status of the current jobs and also which jobs have not yet been created.

Terminating a service

If a particular service is no longer required then the service should be terminated rather than deleted. Terminating a service will stop the automatic progression of jobs and they will no longer appear on the job planning screen. This means that you will be able to keep a history of which services you had on a client.
