Blind Person's Relief

A claim may be made if the client is registered blind with a local authority. In Scotland or Northern Ireland a claim may also be made is the client is unable to perform any work for which eyesight is essential and an appropriate ophthalmologist's certificate has been issued. In such cases enter Scotland claim or Northern Ireland claim in the local authority field.

If the client does not have sufficient income to utilise the relief, it may be transferred to his or her spouse using the allocation and transfer screen.
