Allowances

To access this screen select Edit, Buildings Allowances.  Highlight a building and select the Allowance button.  

The screen lists all the periods which have building allowance values for the selected asset.

Overriding an allowance

To override a value,

• tick the override box to activate the field,

• change the allowance amount,

• select Update.

To default back to the original value,

• un-tick the override box

• select Update

Changing a value for an earlier period

When changing a value for an earlier period remember to,

• select each later period

• go into the Allowances screen, and

• click on Update.

Brought forward figures can only be overwritten in the first period the asset has been set up.  

To change the brought forward in subsequent periods,

• select a previous year and amend the WDA figure to get the correct carried forward figure

• select the next period and use the update button and so on until the current period has been updated.
