The spell checker can be called from any field using the F7 key. Click here for more information regarding the IRIS spell checker.
The IRIS calculator can be accessed by pressing Ctrl+L in a data entry field. The calculator will open with the value currently in the field. Once the calculation is complete pressing Return or Enter will transcribe the result to the data entry field.
The user can select whether IRIS should remember the last client used in each program on each computer. If this option is switched on IRIS will automatically load the last client when the program is next opened.
To switch this option on or off right click in the toolbar and select / deselect the Do not remember the last client selected field as appropriate.
It is possible to make a client 'confidential' so that they can only be accessed via a password.
To set up a confidential client:
Log into IRIS as the MASTER user.
Select Client | View (or from the client browser select View), and then click Advanced at the bottom of the Basic tab.
Select Confidentiality and enter the required password.
Under IRIS SQL this option will only be available when logged into a confidential client database.
