The charities chart has separate accounts for the profit on disposal and the loss on disposal. Fixed Asset Register will always post to the loss on disposal account but the user may change this to the profit account for each asset as required. Account 57 is used in the charities chart for profit on disposal.
It is not possible to allocate an asset to a particular fund within the Asset Register. The user will be prompted to allocate postings to a fund when the pasting batch is imported within IRIS Accounts Production as follows.
Once the batch to be imported has been selected a message will appear with the heading 'IMPORT ERROR: Missing fund showing the posting about to be imported' Select continue.
A screen will allow the user to select the fund that the posting should be allocated to. Select the fund and then click OK.
For ease the program will then ask if all postings should be allocated to the same fund. If this is the case click Yes, if not click No.
Where postings are to be allocated to different funds steps 1 and 2 must be completed for each posting.
