A big feature within Company Secretarial is the ability to print off Share Certificates and Dividend Warrants.
Before being able to print off a share certificate within Company Secretarial, there needs to be issued share capital in the client and it needs to be issued to particular members (For more information on this topic, go to Tutorial - Step 2 - Entering Share Capital)
Once this is done from the Main Company Secretarial screen go to Edit | Share Register. Then from the Share Types tab highlight a share type and click View then Certificates.
The Share Certificates screen will appear listing all the member(s) with relevant share holding(s) and certificate number(s) for the viewed share type. Select the member(s) that a share certificate is required for (if all are required click Select All) and click Print.
Each listing on this screen will get a separate share certificate when transferred into MS Word.
The Share Certificate Options screen displays. The date that's to display on the share certificates should be entered in the Date Certificates as field. Beneath this is a choice of who is going to sign the share certificates the following options are available:
Two Directors
A Director and a Secretary
Select the relevant option and click OK.
The share certificates should open in a MS Word Document, they can then be printed off.
Before dividend warrants can be produced there needs to be dividends set up on the client attached to specific members. To set up dividends within Company Secretarial go to Edit | Share Register. Click on the Dividends tab and click New. (For more help on this topic, go to Tutorial - Step 4 - Setting up Dividends)
Once dividends have been setup the dividend warrants can be run. To do this go to Edit | Share Register and click on the Dividends tab.
The Dividends tab will display, if there is more than one dividend shown on this screen highlight the relevant one and click Warrants.
The Dividend Warrants screen will display listing each member, how many shares they have and what dividends they will be receiving. Click Print.
A dividend warrant for each member (or members if joint) will open in a Microsoft Word document and can be printed off.
