Step 1 – Creating the Event

  1. From the menu bar select Edit | Director/Secretary

    The following screen displays.

  2. Click New.



    The following screen displays.
  3. Click the magnifying glass next to the Director field.

  4. From the Client Browse, select the relevant person.

  1. In the From field, enter the date the person was appointed.

  2. Enter an Account Order number.

  3. Enter the Occupation of the person to be appointed.

  4. Enter the Company Reference if required.

  5. From the drop-down list, select the Service address.

  6. Ensure the Record on history for affected client(s) field is selected.

  7. From the drop-down list, select the Authoriser Designation.

  8. Click OK.

  1. This will automatically activate a completed AP01 form.

Step 2 – Generating the Appointment of Director Form

  1. From the menu bar select Reports | Company Forms

  2. Highlight the log for Form AP01.

  3. Ensure the CH E-file option is selected.

  4. Click Print Form.


  5. The AP01 form will be generated in the IRIS PDF Viewer, please review the details and then exits from the form preview.

If you have a valid Practice Management license, the following screen displays.

  1. If a log is required in communication tracking, select Yes. If a log is not required in communication tracking, select No.



    The following screen displays.

  2. If you are ready to submit the form electronically to Companies House, click Yes. To view the contents of the submission, click XML. To cancel the submission, click No.



  3. To paper file the form, follow the steps below.

  1. From the menu bar select Reports | Company Forms

  2. Highlight the log for Form AP01.

  3. Click Print Form.

  4. The AP02 form will be generated in the IRIS PDF Viewer, please review the details.

  1. After reviewing the form, click Print . The form is ready to be manually submitted to Companies House.
