Form DCA - Dormant Company Accounts

The company name and number should be entered at the top of the form. Under this, the Balance Sheet as at date should be entered. Following this, the details of the current year and previous year Called up Share Capital not paid and Cash at Bank and in Hand should be entered, totalling to the Net Assets.

After this, enter the quantity and the amount of each (in pounds sterling) of the Authorised and Issued Share Capital, with totals for the current and previous years. Below this, enter the total of the Shareholders' Funds.  

The Notes section of the form also needs to be filled out.  Enter in the number of ordinary shares that were allotted during the year and the aggregate nominal value, plus the amount of consideration received by the company (if any).  Also in the notes section, there is a tick box to determine whether the company acted as an agent for a person during the year. If so, select the box.

Following the notes section is the Statements section. Complete this section with the year end date for which the company was entitled to exemption under section 249AA(1) of the Companies Act 1985.

This form should then be signed and dated by a director and the details of a contact for companies house should be entered at the bottom of the form.

To Activate the Form

To activate a completed form go to Client | View select the History tab and click Log New. A Log client history event screen appears, select dormant accounts submitted date and then enter the date for this event. Click Log and it adds the item into the history screen as well as activating a completed form.


To Display the Form

To display a form with basic details go to Reports | Forms with Basic Details | Form DCA - Dormant Company Accounts. The form will open in Word showing the basic details which are the company name, the registered number and the Companies House contact details.

To display a blank form go to Reports | Blank Forms | Form DCA - Dormant Company Accounts. This will open the completely blank form into Word.
