This form should be completed when there has been an allotment of shares to shareholders.
Firstly it should show the company registered number and the company name in full.
Beneath this should be the dates that the shares are to be allotted From and To.
Then the class of share capital, the allotted number, and the nominal value of each share should be listed underneath, for each type of share capital that was allotted. Then the total amount (if any) that was paid for each share including any premium.
Under this the percentage of each share that is going to be treated
as paid up should be entered.
On the second page the name and address of the shareholders should be entered along with the class of shares that was allotted to them and the amount of shares they received.
To activate a completed form go to Edit | Share Register, select Events tab. Click New | Share Issue/Bonus Issue/Rights Issue/Scrip Issue. Depending on the required event, enter the necessary details, once complete click Insert. This will automatically produce a Form 88(2).
To display a form with basic details go to Reports | Forms with Basic Details | Form 88(2) - Return of Allotment of Shares. The form will open in Word showing the basic details which are the company name, the registered number and the Companies House contact details.
To display a blank form go to Reports | Blank Forms | Form 88(2) - Return of Allotment of Shares. This will open the completely blank form into Word.
