Allowances

To access this screen,  select Edit | Buildings Allowances.  Highlight a building and select the Allowance.  

The screen lists all the periods which have building allowance values for the selected asset.

Overriding an allowance

To override a value:

1. Select the override box to activate the field.

2. Change the allowance amount.

3. Select Update.

To default back to the original value:

1. De-select the override box.

2. Select Update.

Changing a value for an earlier period

When changing a value for an earlier period remember to:

1. Select each later period.

2. Go into the Allowances screen and click Update.

Brought forward figures can only be overwritten in the first period the asset has been set up.  

To change the brought forward in subsequent periods:

• select a previous year and amend the WDA figure to get the correct carried forward figure
• select the next period and use the update button and so on until the current period has been updated
