The Override return totals option allows the user to alter the split of income etc. between the partners.
If you make use of this facility, Business Tax checks that the total
of the amounts you have entered agree to the total for that item on the
appropriate section of the return.
If there is a difference a warning is displayed:
when you exit the Override return totals option; and
when you go to print a partnership return (although you will still be able to print the return).
If the warning is displayed go back to the Override return totals option and check the amounts entered. You may find that printing and reviewing the partnership statement helps to determine the problem area.
