To ensure the font is the same on both template and generated letter you will need to amend your 'normal' style. Each version of Microsoft Word uses the 'normal' style to set defaults on font sizes, page margins, paragraph spacing and more.
To ensure the font is the same on both template and generated letter you will need to amend the normal style.
To do this, follow the steps below.
Load Microsoft Word (2007 or later)
The Home tab will be selected by default. In the Styles section, right-click the Normal style.
From the drop-down menu, select Modify.
The modify style screen will be displayed. Select your desired font from the Formatting drop-down list.
Select New documents based on this template.
Click OK.
These changes will have the following effect:
The font entered on IRIS AutoMail templates will be the same as the font used on generated letters.
The font on all new word documents using the normal style on your computer will be changed automatically.
IRIS AutoMail/Fees uses the interface
of Microsoft Word to generate correspondence. To create your own Bespoke
AutoMail/Fees templates you will require knowledge of Microsoft Word
to the level of complexity that your bespoke template requires.

support, advice or maintenance services with respect to Microsoft

some of the program features.
