This screen shows a list of share holdings entered for the business client identified at the top of the share register with a summary of the distinctive share numbers and share certificate numbers, where N/B identifies if the holding is a non beneficial interest.
A holding is a continuous range of shares held by a member. One member may have several holdings due to having shares with different share numbers and different share certificate numbers. There default display is current holdings that are still in existence. If the current only option is deselected current holdings are still displayed as well as any holdings that have previously been disposed.
Click View to see the transactional history of the holding highlighted on screen. This is to identify what has happened to this particular holding of shares. That is, a holding may have originated as 100 shares numbered 1 to 100 as share certificate 1 but then 50 of those shares may have been transferred to another member, therefore this screen will show the reduction of those 50 shares making the holding 50 shares numbered 1 to 50 as share certificate 2.
