A pension scheme tutorial is provided within the on-screen help. Select Help | Tutorial from the main Accounts Production screen. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) are also provided within Help | Help Topics
Useful information regarding the individual reports available for a set of pension scheme accounts can be found in Help | Help Topics | Useful Reports | Pension Schemes
The Pension chart of accounts (PEN#) can be found in Help | Help Topics | Chart of Accounts
Pension scheme clients should be set up as business type Other and attached to the PEN# chart of accounts.
Reports
Accounts Production can produce accounts for both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes, Ear Marked schemes and Small Self Administered schemes.
To generate a full set of financial statements enter PEN in the Report / Document field in Reports | Annual
The annual report is made up of the following sections:
P01 The fly sheet
P02 Trustees and advisers
P03 Report of the trustees
P04 Statement of trustees' responsibilities
P05** Auditors' report (P15 if qualified)
or
P19** Accountants' report
P24 Summary of Contributions (Ear Marked Scheme only)
P25 Auditors’ Statement about Contributions (Ear Marked Scheme only)
P06** Fund account
P07** Net asset statement
P08** Notes
P09 Investment report
P10 Compliance statement
P14** Exception report, details any notes replaced
Asterisks(**) indicate that the report will not be run for an Ear Marked Scheme.
If no reference is to be made to the investment report, set an alias of P09=$OO. Similarly, to prevent reference to the compliance statement, set an alias of P10=$OO.
The Statement of trustee’s responsibilities can also be removed by selecting an option in the Ear-Marked Schemes data screen.
Although the actuarial report is referred to in the contents page it is a report that can not be generated within Accounts Production. It is not possible to omit this from the contents page.
