Small Companies Regime

If small companies regime has been applied, the details of shares shown as liabilities within the Loans note, Preference Shares and/or the Called Up Share Capital note will not be disclosed within the notes to financial statements unless a tick has been placed to override this setting.

Class of capital

Enter text describing the type of share capital. This will be used in the Report of the Directors’, the details of shares shown as liabilities within the Loans note or Preference Shares note where the share is a non-equity and Called up Share Capital note where the share is an equity shares.

Nominal value

Enter the nominal value using £ or p where appropriate. This figure will be used in the Report of the Directors’, the details of shares shown as liabilities within the Loans note or Preference Shares note where the share is a non-equity and Called up Share Capital note where the share is an equity shares.

Issued number of shares

Enter the number of shares issued using numbers only. This figure will be used in the details of shares shown as liabilities within the Loans note or Preference Shares note where the share is a non-equity and Called up Share Capital note where the share is an equity shares.

The number of shares issued entered within this field will also be used within the Report of the Directors’ where tick has been placed within the Report of the Directors – Directors’ Information data screen to disclose information about directors’ interest in shares and directors’ shareholdings have been entered within Edit | Shareholdings.

To generate the number of shares issued section within the details of shares shown as liabilities within the Loans note or Preference Shares note postings are needed in one of the following accounts:

874/1, 880/1, 886/1, 892/1 or 898/1 if using the ELTD chart

To generate the number of shares issued section within the Called Up Share Capital note postings are needed in account:

966/1 if using the ELTD chart

Not Fully Paid

If partly or nil paid, tick this box.

The share capital note will be amended appropriately.

Non-equity

This field is used to determine whether any non-equity shares exist. The wording on the; Balance Sheet sub-headings, Reconciliation of Movement in Shareholders Funds note, Dividends note sub-heading will be amended as appropriate.

Accounts Production assumes that all shares are equity unless the screen is completed to the contrary.

Participating Dividends

This field only needs to be completed if the share type is non-equity.

If the dividend on a non-equity share is participating complete this field with a tick.

If the dividend on a non-equity share is non-participating leave this field blank.

Additional Shares Issued

Number issued - enter the number of additional shares issued during the period in numbers only.

Type of issue - enter a tick against one type of issue; cash at par, cash at premium. If the issue is, for example, partly cash and partly bonus, use the additional or replacement note facility instead.

Premium per share - enter the amount of premium using £ or p where appropriate.
