How do I disconnect from Xero in IRIS Accounts Production?

  1. From the Accounts Production toolbar select View Client, the following screen displays:

  1. Click the magnifying glass in the Link to Bookkeeping field, the following screen displays:

  1. Click the red X in the Xero field and the client should be removed. Click OK and then Save and Close on the Client Maintenance screen to save this change.

 

How do I disconnect client links in Xero?

Once a client link is removed in Accounts Production that client will still show as connected in Xero and will appear as a connection when linking the Accounts Production client to a different Xero client, as shown below:

  1. Clicking Continue with 1 organisation will re-link the original Xero client, however a different Xero client can be linked by selecting them from the drop-down list and clicking Allow access. Multiple clients can be linked in Xero at the same time although only one active link is allowed in Accounts Production.
  2. Completely removing this client connection can only be done in Xero. Log in to Xero, select the organisation with the connection then select Settings | Connected Apps, the following displays:

 

  1. Click Disconnect next to IRIS Accountancy Suite and the following confirmation displays:

 

  1. Select Disconnect app to remove the connection.

 

How do I import an annual trial balance from Xero?

  1. Ensure the required posting entry is selected in the Accounts Production toolbar then select Posting | Post

  2. When the posting screen displays select either Advanced | Import from Xero or Batch Control | New | select the document type then select Xero in the Activate import from the drop-down list, then click OK.

The following screen displays:

 

  1. The option Annual trial balance is automatically selected. If there is no import map pre-selected in the Import Map field, click the magnifying glass and the following screen displays:

 

  1. Highlight Xero Import Map then click Select then click OK on the Import from Xero screen.

An import screen like the one below displays:

 

  1. Any postings that require an IRIS account to be entered will appear in red (as seen above). Enter an account in the IRIS Account field or click the magnifying glass to display a list of IRIS accounts.

 

Once an account has been entered the field will go green.

  1. Select the option Show invalid postings only to filer the list to show only those postings that require amendment.

  2. Once any invalid postings are corrected, click Import to import the trial balance postings into Accounts Production. Once the import is complete the posting screen displays with the imported postings listed.

 

How do I import management period postings from Xero?

  1. Ensure the required posting entry is selected in the Accounts Production toolbar then select Posting | Post

  2. When the posting screen displays select either Advanced | Import from Xero or Batch Control | New | select the document type then select Xero in the Activate import from drop-down, then click OK.

The following screen displays:

 

The option Annual trial balance is automatically selected.

  1. Select Management period movements. The fields below this option will activate. Click the magnifying glass in each field to display a list of management periods to import into:

 

  1. Highlight the required period and click Select, select the management periods that you want to import from and to.

If there is no import map pre-selected in the Import Map field, click the magnifying glass and the following screen displays:

 

  1. Highlight Xero Import Map then click Select then click OK on the Import from Xero screen.

An import screen like the one below displays:

  1. Enter an account in the IRIS Account field or click the magnifying glass to display a list of IRIS accounts.
