Once an item has been selected for unmatching on the match Time Ledger Postings screen, you can then select postings to be unmatched for the client, or client job, using the unmatch Time Ledger postings screen.
Only items updated to the Time Ledger can be matched.
To unmatch a posting:
Enter the Time Ledger.
Click Post WIP.
Click Matching.
Select Tidy Postings.
Highlight a posting to be matched or unmatched.
Click Unmatch.
The Unmatch Time Ledger Postings screen displays.
The following fields are displayed for the item that is being matched, as selected on the match Time Ledger Postings screen.
Client - displayed is the identifier and name of the client for the posting being matched. For example, A001 and Mr Armitage.
Job - displayed is the client job. For example, job type Payroll for client A001.
Balance - displayed is the WIP balance of the client job. For example, 200 would show a WIP balance of £200.
Date - displayed is the date of the posting to be matched.
Type - displayed is the type of posting being matched. For example, WIP written out is the write out of an invoice, adhoc WIP posting is a general adjustment or general expense.
Staff - displayed is the member of staff that the posting is for. For example, a timesheet or correction posting must be made to a specific staff member.
Time - displayed is the amount of time posted. For example, 2:00 is two hours.
Text - displayed is the narrative of the posting.
Reference - displayed is the reference of the posting. For example, INV001. This can be for invoices, credit notes and write offs.
Amount - displayed is the WIP value of the posting. For example, £200 of WIP
Matched before - displayed is the value of WIP that has already been matched for this posting. For example, for a £200 posting £120 of WIP may already be matched.
This session - displayed is the value of WIP that has been matched within this session of matching. For example, if you highlight a £30 posting and click on 'Fully match' the value in this session will change to £30.
Remainder - displays the value that hasn't been matched. For example, the amount of the posting is £200, of which £20 has been matched before, so £180 has not yet been matched.
Displayed are postings that have already been matched to this posting.
The following columns are available for each posting:
Date - displayed is the date of the posting.
Type - displayed is the type of posting. This can include O/B for opening WIP balances, BILL for invoices, T/S for timesheets, Misc for Adjustments and Correction postings, WB for write back postings.
Details - displayed is the narrative for postings, and the reference for invoices, credit notes and write offs.
DR - displayed is the debit value of the posting. (A debit value increases WIP).
CR - displayed is the credit value of the posting. (A credit value decreases WIP).
This - displays the value of WIP that has been matched for the posting, in this matching session.
Unmatched - displayed is the value of the posting that is unmatched. This is the value that will be outstanding on the clients account.
Back - click to confirm matching actions and to return to the match Time Ledger Postings screen.
Fully unmatch - highlight a posting and click fully unmatch to unmatch the whole value of the posting. For example, highlight a posting for £30 with an matched value of
£30 and click fully unmatch. The full value of the posting will be unmatched so that the outstanding value is £30.
Partial unmatch - to unmatch part of a posting click partial unmatch. For example, £30 of a posting with a value of £50 can be matched, so that £20 is left outstanding.
Select - click to select postings with similar characteristics for unmatching. For example, to select postings for a particular staff member, or for specific date range.
View - highlight a posting and click View to display further details of the posting.
