Client Billing decisions report (Options)

The Client Billing Decisions report is a Time Ledger report that displays unbilled staff postings for a client.

 

To load the Client Billing Decisions report:

  1. Log into the Time Ledger.

  2. From the menu select Reports.

  3. Click Client reports, a sub menu will display.

  4. Click Billing decisions.

The Options screen allows you to define the system constraints for the Client Billing Decisions report.

 

The following options are available:

Exclude Clients

This option omits clients to reduce the number of clients selected for the report.

The following options are available:


With new WIP less than - if this option is selected the field to the right becomes available, here enter a value of WIP. Any client with a WIP balance less than this value will be excluded.

 

Billed - if this option is selected the options to the right become available. Clients can be excluded who have not been invoiced in the last number of weeks, days or since an

entered date.

Misc Options

This option selects the information that can be displayed on the report.

The following options are available:


Include jobs with no net WIP  or unabsorbed balance
- place a tick next to this option to display all jobs on the billing decisions report, including those without a net WIP balance or an unabsorbed balance.

 

Show cost figures in report - select this option to display an outstanding WIP cost column. This will show the value of the cost rate per posting.

 

Show running balance of WIP - select this option to include a running WIP balance next to each staff posting.

 

Include pending postings in report - select this option to include pending postings in the report.

 

Number of previous bills listed - type in the field provided the number of invoices to be referenced on the WIP breakdown sheet on the billing decisions. This can be between 1 and 5.

 

Pages Required

Select from the WIP breakdown or instruction sheet:

 

WIP Breakdown - selecting this option, individual staff postings that have not been billed will be displayed.. From here it is possible to see outstanding time, expenses and costs on a job by job basis.

 

Instruction sheet - select this option to instruction sheet to include the invoicing decisions, based upon the WIP breakdown,  can be entered onto the instruction sheet. (The instruction sheet can then be printed and details of invoicing decisions can be written on the document.) For example,  how much the client \ client job is to be invoiced, and how the WIP is to be written out. and the expected recovery.

 

With descriptions - select this option to supply job descriptions on the Instruction sheet and WIP breakdown. For example, to display Accounts Production 2003 alongside the job id ACC.
