Client WIP

The WIP tab relates to details entered to the client from within the Time and Fees programmes.

The Client / WIP summary screen will be displayed:


The following fields are available:

Client

Type in the client identifier in the field provided, or select using the magnifying glass. For example, A001 for Mr Armitage.

Fees - displayed are detailed relating to postings entered within the Fees Ledger:

Latest Bill - displayed is the date of the last invoice that the practice has issued to the client. For example, 01/12/2002.

Latest receipt - displayed is the date of the last receipt that the practice has received from the client. For example, 04/12/2002.

Balance - displayed is the value of the clients current Fees Ledger balance. For example, £200 in this field will show that the client owes the practice £200.

 

Click the magnifying glass to display the client fees account. Click here for the topic.

 

Earliest

unmatched in 

Displayed is the period that the earliest Fees Ledger posting is still outstanding for the client. For example, an invoice still outstanding in 2002/12.

WIP

Displayed are details relating to the Time Ledger Work-in-Progress figures.

Balance - the clients current outstanding WIP balance is displayed. For example, a WIP balance of £300 shows that time and expenses totalling £300 are still outstanding for the client.

Current T& F jobs only 

The 'current Time and Fees jobs only' option is used to filter the jobs in the window below, to exclude completed Time and Fees jobs. For example, the practice has worked on accounts for the client for three years; 2001, 2002 and is currently working on 2003. Enabling this option will only show the current job 2003.

Main Window

Displayed are details of the jobs for the client.

The following details are available:

Jobs - the identifier of the job type is displayed. For example ACC for accounts. Either current jobs or all jobs can be displayed, as selected by the 'current T & F jobs only' option.

Description - the description of the job type is displayed. For example, Accounts Preparation.

WIP Balance - displayed is the current job WIP balance of the client. For example, job type Accounts has a WIP balance of £300.

Latest Bill - displayed are date and reference number of the last invoice that was posted to the job type. For example, if the client was invoice on the 17/11/2002 with a reference of INV001 and the invoice accounted for WIP on job accounts, the details will be shown within this column.

Billed - displayed is the value that the job type has been billed on the last invoice that was posted to the client. Click here for further details on billing job types.

Job option - click to create a new job type, or view an existing job.

Budget option - click to view details of the clients budget.

 

A client budget can be used to monitor and evaluate the WIP charge, WIP costs and time spent on a client.

Controls

The controls option can be used to set the controls for the WIP and Fees Ledger.

 

Time Ledger controls includes blocking clients and client jobs, and setting premiums and discounts at client level. Click here for the topic.

The Fees controls can be used to block clients, setting client paying status and whether the client is to receive a payment reminder or statement. Click here for the topic.

Cross Billing

To view Cross Billing relationships, or add to a cross billing relationship click Cross billing. For example, if you invoice a partnership you can remove WIP is on various partners you can invoice.

S/O

Click to view or setup Fixed Fees invoices or standing order receipts agreements for clients.

Billing

Click to post an invoice to a client using the on screen billing option.

Click Close to exit.
