Create a client group

Clients of similar nature can be grouped together for reporting purposes into Client Groups and Client Categories. For example, Limited companies can be grouped together for Corporation Tax Payments.

 

To create a new client group:

  1. Enter the Time or Fees Ledger

  2. Click File.

  3. Click Categories.

  4. From the sub menu select Client Group.

  5. Click New.

The client groups screen displays.

 

To create a new client group complete the following fields:

Identifier

The Client Group identifier is the unique identifier given to represent a group of clients, which will be used for reporting within the system. Ideally this name will be relevant for the group description. For example, the first client group could be called Limited , within it the limited companies could be grouped.

Description

Enter a brief description about the client group, this may be the staff member the Charge Rate relates to, the group of staff in the system or the rate itself.

In client Group

Clients of similar nature can be grouped together for reporting purposes, for example the twelve periods jobs of accounts for 2001 can be placed in a single Client group,to

reduce the data that needs to be entered when reporting.

 

Click Insert to save the client group, or Cancel to close.
