Management accounts - introduction

The Management Accounts facility in Accounts Production allows accounts and budgets to be posted period by period.

Reports can then be generated which will:

Management Accounts can be prepared for any client, even if annual accounts have been posted in the past. It is worth noting that all management periods for a particular year should be entered into one posting entry.

This section provides three tutorials showing you how to prepare:

management accounts from working papers,

management accounts from trial balance,

budgets.

At the end of the section are quick step by step guides for you to follow when you come to prepare your own management accounts. We would strongly recommend that you make full use of these to ensure that no steps are missed.

Please note that if you are preparing management accounts from a trial balance then the trial balance must be for the management period concerned only, rather than a cumulative trial balance.
